EDITOR LAUNCH DEBUT ALBUM AT HEAVY INNIT IN JULY
Gaining recognition from their unlikely reworking of The Veronica’s track ‘Hook Me Up’; Melbourne-based dubstep production duo Editor now launch their debut album ‘Interview Techniques’ alongside USA heavyweight Joe Nice. Appearing live at Heavy Innit at The Laundry on Saturday July 11, Editor will perform much of the album using laptops and various other instruments accompanied by visuals created by Tim Parish. Joined by two levels of banging dubstep and glitch-hop DJs, this is your perfect opportunity to preview the CD live before it hits the stores later in July. ‘Interview Techniques’ out soon on Spoonbill’s Omelette Records. Radio-DJ and resident at NYC’s Dubwar parties, Joe Nice has been there from the early days pushing the dubstep sound over the North American airwaves. Distinguished by his upfront selection and skillful mixing, he was the first USA-based DJ to play on RinseFM and at world renowned club nights FWD>> and DMZ’s bi-monthly parties in London. Now he is headed for Melbourne.
