Foreign beggars & Noisia - Contact

First single from the forthcoming United Colours of Beggattron to be released on the 19th of this month. Production by Noisia, who are twisted trust me, just wait till it gets to the end of the track and they transorm it into some messy drum n bass.

Consequence Album Launch

a good friend of mine is dropping a album, check the mix link at the bottom

"This extremely talented and relatively new producer is turning the heads of some of the drum & bass scene’s most respected DJ's and label owners. His music is getting serious support from dBridge & Instra:mental, featuring on their Autonomic Podcasts, and also on Goldie’s Metalheadz pod cast # 5 which attracted over 50,000 downloads.

Cam McLaren aka Consequence was originally born in Toronto, Canada. Early on in life he moved to New Zealand, this is where he found his love of music. Early childhood experiments with a variety of instruments led to his love of composition and melody. Utilizing these elements in his current productions has given great variety in his sound and methods. At the age of 17 he decided to leave NZ for London where he pursued a career in music and played in a band as lead guitarist, performing in a number of successful live shows which led to record deal for the band. During a number of recording sessions at the Olympic studios (world famous for recordings of Jimi Hendrix/Led Zeplin) he developed an interest in audio engineering and decided to move back to NZ to study this profession. He became focused on Electronic production, specifically drum and bass. In this time he honed his skills and took influence from his previous musical experiences.

In early 2009 he was given the prestigious task of creating an album for Exit Records. He has risen to the challenge without even breaking a sweat (well maybe a little) and the debut LP is due for release in October. Come to the exclusive launch party presented by Polaroid to hear, for the first time, what is sure to become one of the most talked about albums in drum & bass worldwide.

I aimed to create music that doesn’t fit the usual mould of Drum and Bass, yet has its ties and influences from it. When listening to the LP in its entirety, I hope that listeners will be given an insight into the way I see my surroundings. Maybe people can relate, everyone shares certain similarities in the way they feel about their life and what makes them feel certain emotions. Consequence 09"

For those who caught Kenny Ken at Manning Bar last week

Not sure if he actually played this (don't remember that clearly), but just to give a glimpse of what vibes were like that night... It was huge, even local heads were saying it's rare to get that kind of crowd out for dnb in Sydney. WE NEED MORE LIKE THAT!!!
